Thirteen  (13) - The  Mysterious  One

Do you know ....in many buildings there is no 13th floor , no gate no. 13 in airports ? US business loose millions of dollars because of  Friday 13th ,the number 13 is not used in Formula 1 racing , Microsoft skipped version 13 by  jumping from office 2007(version 12 to version 14) , in Norway there are 19 countries numbered from 1-20 but there is no number 13 country ,any one with 13 letters in their names is considered to be devils luck even the baptismal name of Adolf Hitler was ADOLFUS HITLER , Saddam Hussien , Osama bin ladin ,Jeffrey Dahmer (who killed and ate his victims) , Jack The Ripper , Theodore Bundy , Albert DeSalvo , Charles Manson are only some murders with devils luck, Apollo 13 spacecraft malfunctioned after being launched on April 11th at 13:13 CST .

The fear of number 13 is known as treiskaidekaphobia.

And the fear of Friday the thirteen is known as Paraskevidekatriaphobia.

The origin of considering 13 unlucky dates back to the time of Christ. It has been known Jesus was betrayed by 13th guest , Judas in The Last Supper . Another ancient myth for 13 to be unlucky revolves around Code of Hammurabi  in which 13th code is missing though some people believe that it was missed by chance. According to Vikings legend , Loki was the 13th guest in Norse Pantheon who skillfully arranged death of one of the gods - Balder - and was also 13th guest to reach his funeral . Gradually this led to superstitious that when 13 people meet among them one will depart  in the following year. One of the popular belief of considering 13 to be unlucky is related to Knights Templar this happened exactly on 13th October 1307(friday) when King Philip IV of France with  Pope Clement V ordered all Knights for imprisonment and execution . In Tarots cards , the card number 13 has no name the card has a picture of rider (death itself) sitting on a white horse thus representing death .  

However ,Egyptians and Chinese consider 13 to be lucky , inspite of western culture . USA - United States of America has too deep connections with number 13 ... if you don't believe it see the  rear side of  USA one dollar bill. If you observe carefully you will see that on the left side of the rear of one dollar bill lies an incomplete pyramid with 13 steps on it 

Since 1935 the back of one dollar bill captivates number 13.Its part of Great Seal of America very evidently eagles head turned around towards 13 arrows , 13 leaves in olive branch , 13 berries  and  13 stars on the top of eagles head . National flag of USA has 13 stripes and originally 13 stars.

Thus you are probably carrying lucky 13 in your pockets.

                                         Mahatma Gandhi , Nelson Mandela also have 13 letters in there names and aren't murderess or with devils luck. And most importantly I was born on 13th hence 13th isn't unlucky after all. ...hahaha.........this is all fun no number is unlucky thinking makes it lucky or otherwise so be positive and next time somebody says to you 13 is unlucky tell them to listen to Taylor Swift because she was too born on 13th ...13th December ..the day I was born so don't forget to wish me on the 13th ;)
